With the Northeast’s first dusting of snow this week, I found it fitting that this week’s Estate Jewelry Round Up feature jewels whose diamonds and precious gems glisten as brightly as twinkling white snowflakes falling to the ground. Of course, diamonds capture this sparkle to the greatest effect, but moonstone and mother-of-pearl offer more subtle interpretations, all of which are incorporated in this week’s estate jewelry pieces.
Antique Belle Epoque Diamond Necklace in Silver over Gold
A beautiful item from a beautiful age, this antique Belle Epoque diamond necklace gleams like it’s waltzed straight out of a gilded ballroom. Beautifully patinated silver over gold forms an elegant design of a single row of old mine cut diamonds culminating in a breathtaking central design of staggered abstract flower motifs. There is a clasp on either end of the center design which would have originally allowed for that part to be converted into a tiara or diadem. Circa 1880

A pair of French Estate 18 karat gold ear pendants with diamonds by Verger. The earrings have 83 round-cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of 14.00 carats. The earrings are composed of a double entwined pear-shaped diamond formed top from which hang larger detachable pear shaped diamond pendants.
